It’s all about the glamour

So I’m no longer very sure why I buy magazines, because all i do is give out about them, and this month’s Glamour is another prime example. With Rihanna on the cover, things could be good, but no: “Why Rihanna STILL likes bad boys” Oh yes, how responsible, let’s imply that it’s her choices that were to blame for the fact that Chris Brown beat her up – and let’s bemoan the fact that she hasn’t learned her lesson, shall we?

Another small point (and bear in mind that I’m only on page 20): Puebla in Mexico, Glamour tells me, has launched women-only taxis, which are “safer”. That part is probably, and sadly, true (although once again it places the responsibility on women, who ain’t the ones who do the beatings), but “they also have beauty supplies available on demand”. For crying out loud, it’s no wonder no one takes women seriously.
