TV to warm up the darkest December

So, y’all may not know, as I don’t talk about it quite as often as I should, but over on The Rosie View, myself and my cousin Roseanne run a fortnightly (ish) podcast. We talk about the TV we’ve watched, the TV we want to watch, the TV we’ll watch over and over again, without growing tired of it. We ramble, occasionally we curse (we’ve had to put ourselves in the “bad language” section in iTunes which makes us feel oh so bold), and we talk telly, to cut to the chase and other wonderful clichés.

We’ve been doing it for almost six months now I think, give or take a few weeks, and we’ve discussed a variety of programming – from Mad Men with the lovely Cathfly to The Rose of Tralee with the hirsute Curly Dena to our latest podcast, featuring the very tall Alan Costello where we discussed the latest Stateside import, Glee. In case you haven’t heard about it, Glee started on Irish television during the week – on TV3 and on E4 (no catch-up on TV3, and no visible video on E4 but feel free to let me know if I’m wrong) – and it is well worth taking the time out for. Kooky, funny, quirky (does that mean the same thing as kooky?!) and fun, above anything else. Plus, who doesn’t love a good musical?! Heartless Scrooges, that’s who.

Plus, it manages to deal with a whole load of what the Americans like to term “issues” – teen pregnancy, disability, Down’s Syndrome, marginalised children (and groups). Plus, did I mention the music? Listen to their version of Don’t Stop Believing here.
