We’re all going on a summer holiday
In January. Crazy, right? As it happens, I’m going skiing on January 16th for a week to Austria. I’ve wanted to go for a while and thought, why not? No one’s free so I’m going it alone – we’ll see how it pans out. Anyway, onto the point: German Vogue. I saw this shoot on Vain and Vapid, just one of the fashion blogs I trawl through on a daily basis, and it’s made me yearn for a delightful 1950s sun holiday – like the scene in Mad Men when they go to Miami (is it Miami?) and Don gets heatstroke. Sigh.

Sadly, my skiing holiday is unlikely to be conducive to long, sweltering days by the pool – and I missed Aldi‘s ski special this Sunday gone, although I may go down today and have a bit of a scout around for the remnants of Sunday’s bonanza. I need to get me some thermal goods (sexy, huh?) and some nice boots, in which I won’t slip and fall on my ass. Ouch, I can feel the pain already.
Diane von Furstenberg has a gorgeous swimsuit going on at the moment that I may try to get my mitts on – I am big on the auld swimsuits, so I am, believing that bikinis do almost no favours to almost anyone. You know what I’m trying to say. . .

I’d give discount/Aldi stuff a miss. You should try On Board.

Lidl also had some ski gear selling last week. Salopettes (is that how you spell it?) and thermals. May have some left? Enjoy
