Shoot: One pair of jeans, five ways by Carol Dunne

It was all fun and games at the Castleknock Hotel and Country Club a few weeks ago for a really simple high-street shoot, styling one pair of jeans (River Island’s boyfriend jeans, €50) five different ways, photographed by Carol Dunne. Gracie from 1st Option did the modelling honours, while Clarins provided the makeup and Moyo created soft, beachy waves for a dressed-down kinda glamour.

These Miista shoes from Folkster make me weak (€195); I paired them with an embellished top from River Island (€60) for a super-simple Friday-night look.

Cinema date? H&M’s embellished sweater (€29.99 – bargain!) is a kinda glam way to do dressed down, again with those shoes – check out the incredible heel!

This is probably closest to what you’d find me in at the weekends: a silk top by Whistles (€95) with a slouchy black cardigan from River Island (€33), a simple gold necklace from Topshop (barely seen, €14.50) and a Fossil watch (dead ringer for Michael Kors but ever-so-slightly less ubiquitous).

Clinging on to the summer… this kimono is from Marks & Spencer (€59), paired with layered cropped tops from Topshop (€18 each) and lovely tan sandals by Faith at Debenhams (€54). That great necklace is from River Island (€6) and the shades are Red Herring at Debenhams (€24).

Last, but by no means least – these shoes are super-slick, from Marks & Spencer (€42) and the jumper, H! by Henry Holland at Debenhams (€55) is such a cute ode to summer.

It’s kind of hard to believe, but this is the last shoot I’ll be doing that doesn’t involve leather (or, sigh, pleather), opaque tights and ankle boots until at least March of next year… But I did hear that we’re due a serious heatwave this weekend, so I have my fingers firmly crossed!
