Shop the 2016 Christmas sales – what bargains can be had where?

2016 Christmas sales bargains Rosemary Mac Cabe

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and Rosemary was doing what she does best – scouring the internet for the best bargains in the 2016 Christmas sales. What can I say? I’m a computer addict.

Actually, myself and my Dad are sitting on the couch together, in front of a roaring fire, having watched Legally Blonde (he loved it), semi-engrossed in Dorian Gray on Syfy (which, FYI, is not suitable father-daughter bonding fodder and is, in fact, chock full of awkward sex scenes). I am, of course, taking refuge in my phone – and just realised that the “50% off sale!” emails have started to roll in.

The last sales blog post I did was incredibly well received, so I thought I’d do another, this time around highlighting just a handful of shops I like, whose 2016 Christmas sales have already begun. Warning: This post will be affiliate link-heavy; if you hate the idea of your purchases helping to make up my wage, clear your cookies before purchasing.

The 2016 Christmas sales A to Z

Asos.com: The online superstore has kicked off proceedings with up to 50% off a whole host of items. Just a few of my faves are…

Farfetch: What I love about the sale on Farfetch.com is that you can shop by discount, so you can select only the items with 50% or more off. That way, you manage to avoid the ridiculous inclusions that only have 10% of a discount. Smart shopping right there.

Frame: I’ll admit I don’t own a pair of Frame jeans, but I want some! And if you shop today (Christmas Day), use the code EXTRA25 for a further 25% off sale items.

Littlewoods Ireland: There’s up to 50% off (seems to be the discount of the day) at Littlewoods – I love the Myleene Klass range (even though I wish I didn’t because I’m fundamentally irked by celebrity fashion lines, but the heart wants what the heart wants).

NA-KD: Props to NA-KD for giving up to 70% off in their sale, and for having some seriously deadly bits ‘n’ pieces from their own line and other brands – including Free People, one of my favourite eco-friendly fashion labels.

Net-a-Porter: The Net-a-Porter sale is always deadly, and right now there’s 50% off mega high-end brands like Victoria Beckham – but, if you have your eye on something in particular, be quick because they don’t hang around for long. I have so much on my wish list, it’s depressing!

PrettyLittleThing.com: Another good ‘un for cut-price fashions, the online sale is on now with – you guess it – “up to 50% off” a selection of sale items.

River Island: I passed by the Grafton St store late yesterday evening and they were busy gussying it up for the sale – so I’m guessing that’ll kick off on St Stephen’s Day. It’s another “up to 50% off” candidate, and pretty much everything I’ve bought from RI in the past six months is discounted. Bloody typical.

Topshop: There’s “up to” 50% off in the Topshop.com sale as well, but it’s pretty decent, with some great savings to be had from clothing to accessories. I’ll admit I’m a big Topshop fan, but in the past few years prices have increased and increased, so I’ll essentially only shop there during sale time now!

This post contains affiliate links. What does that mean? If you click through one of the links above and buy something as a result, I’ll get a small percentage of the sale. It won’t cost you anything extra, but it will help me continue to create content on rosemarymaccabe.com and beyond.
